I know it's affecting the flavor of my runs cause I can tell it's the same smell in my fermentation and stripping runs. I just don't know really how much difference it's going to make after the final distallation (which I haven't made it too yet).

I am in the fine crush camp. My Barley Crusher gap is set at 0.016″ (0.4 mm.) I do get lots of grain dust in my wort, even though I use a fine mesh polyester voile bag. It all settles out in the fermenter, and after gelatin fining, I get crystal clear beer.
